A Little Piece of Democratic Party History

Here's something I found when I randomly opened this book for the first time:

Let's see how many people made it all the way to the bottom. I haven't read the entire book, or even the entire chapter. What I see of the modern-day Democratic Party, however, gives me the impression very little has changed. The actions of the Democratic Party show that the Party does not care about minorities, except where they can deliver votes. The actions of the Republicans are irrelevant to those of the Democrats, so talking about Republican behavior in no way excuses that of the Democrats. When I find something about the Republicans that I believe is comparable, I'll post it. I'll find it on my own, thank you, so please don't send me any ideas.

I suggest blowing off all political parties, since none of them have any power.
